Back up to 320 at the +7 hour mark... Was 368 this morning. Giving her the new wet food right now with 1%carbs. I will check insulin again in an hour. Just checked it right now.

Hi,
Its good your giving the wet food now. That might make a lot of difference on its own. I noticed you have 3 condo's open. We usually only open 1 per day, and just change heading on it, it can get confusing and hard to follow when there are more than 1. Did I read somewhere that your considering Lantus or Levemir??? Sounds like your heading in the right direction with all this.

yes I am trying to make that change to Lantus. i told my hubby that chinging the diet will help out too. Sorry about the multiple posts. the 1st one I did had multiple pages and someone suggested makin a new post, so I guess now it's too many, woops! Anyway, so i guess I'm gonna check her again, just got back from dinner with the parents for my hubby's bday so now I will test again and see where we are at...

BooBoo is now at 404 at +10! Yikes! Gonna give the shot early because I am not liking that # at all!!! I even gave the low carb wet food! Guess I gotta do another curve tom...
 
My hubby just said he is thinking that because of that high dose she was on, and now with the lower dose maybe her body is just adjusting now to the new dose? I would love to hear what you all think about this and I am starting to feel like I was doing good, and now i'm confused again... :(
 
I did. I sent her a PM so just waiting to hear back... I just tested for Ketones and she is negative, so that is good... So i am gonna test her again an hour from when i gave her the shot and kinda try to see where she is at because I don't think i have done a test yet at 1 hr after...

I'm using Levemir for my Buddy. I started out with Vetsulin then went to Lantus now he is on Levemir. He is an IAA kitty (resisitant to insulin) Anyway if you think your vet will prescribe Levemir, I can give you a cartridge now and you can just give back when you get a script. You should probably go to LL or Lantus/Levemir, instead of Health and just see what kind of feedback you would get, there are a lot of people that are very good when it comes to Lev.

Just tested her and got a reading of 297, then because she had quite a bit of blood still on the ear I immediately got some more blood and retested and got 283. What is going on here? She may have been stressed, i had to poke her 3 times before I got anything then mellowed out 5 seconds later? Also she still seems to be drinking kind of a lot of water and has been since the tx but is not urinating in inappropriate places anymore...
 
Now down to 190 at +2. looks like it is headed down to the #'s I have been previously getting during the +3, +4, and +5 hours..
 
Just got a read of 167 at +3 but I am thinking it is actually a bit lower since she was really stressed when I pricked her ear this time. I think she is headed in the right direction so i will stop and go to bed now. I feel really bad about pricking her ears so often but i guess it is for her own good and to keep her safe. See u all in the morn...

That is well within the 20% variation that meters allow.

Not a significant variation.
