Hello,
Can my diabetic cat eat boiled chicken with no seasoning? I’m new to the diabetic cat world! Thanks in advance!!

Absolutely!! The only time cooked chicken (or any protein) is a problem is if it's been brined since brine is typically a solution of salt and sugar. Likewise, boiling chicken if there is onion or garlic in the pot should be avoided. Alliums are problematic for cats.

I think most of us were assuming that you were asking about boiled chicken as a snack. If you are using this as meals, Larry is correct. Any protein by itself is not nutritionally complete. There are a number of supplements that are necessary if you want to use boiled chicken as a meal. You can either purchase them individually or there are pre-mixes that contain all of the supplements that you can mix with water and add to. your cat's food. Many of us use FoodFurLife.

Do typical cat foods, such as Weruva or Tiki have enough supplements or do you recommend using an additive on top of the canned?

Good question, most, but not all canned foods are complete meals. Stay away from cans that say "for intermittent feeding" or "supplemental" as those are not to be used on a full time basis. Or save them as special treats.
