Carl & Polly & Bob (GA)

Near as I can figure, Bob's PMBG at +8795 is 67.

Last July 19th, I gave him .25u of PZI for breakfast on a BG in the vicinity of 100. He told me he was over it, and I trusted his judgement. Tonight, right after walking in the door from work, I got out the meter bag, and damned if he didn't come running over and sit at my feet "assuming the position". I even got blood on the first poke (which is incredible since he hadn't been tested in almost two months).

Am I thrilled to say he's been OTJ for a year? Of course I am, who wouldn't be? But to tell you the honest truth, I'm happy that he got FD in the first place. If he hadn't, I would never have known it existed, and I would never have been steered by the wonderful beans at sugarcats.com to come to FDMB. I would never have had any reason to become a part of this amazing community that leaves me awestruck on pretty much a daily basis.

You all are very, very special people.

Love,
Carl, Bob and Mullet

Carl: Congratulations to you and Bob (love the baby Bob pic, by the way)! This seems like an opportune time to say thank you Carl -- you were the very first person who responded to my plea for help in early June when I was a newbie here. You responded within 10 minutes of my post and gave me hope that things would be ok. I was devastated at the time. You help a lot of people on this board and you are one of the very "special people" to whom you refer in your post below. Some people might have distanced themselves from the board when their cat went OTJ; but here you are, day in and day out, helping the rest of us to achieve the same success. Congratulations to you and Bob . No one deserves it more.

CONGRATULATIONS!

I'm so glad that Bob decided to kick his habit. And I'm glad you've stayed around to help others. Way to go!!

Carl, actually we are the ones lucky Bob had the excursion into FD.

You couldn't be a better ambassador in Health, ProZinc, or nearly anywhere else on this board.

So Congrats to Bob for that and the OTJ. :-D

As a newbie and grateful for your help, thank you for being here with Bob, and thank you for sharing your wisdom!

I second (third, fourth, fifth....) the congratulations to Bob, way to go!!! And also a thank you to you Carl for helping the rest of us here, you're always so nice and helpful in your responses. I can honestly say it is greatly appreciated.

Congratulations Bob!

Charlie told me to tell you "MEOW!" (little bit of emphasis on the "ow" part right now, as she's newly diagnosed). However, she really, TRULY thanks you for your help thus far and so do we.

Celebrate this momentous occasion today and give the big guy lots of love and company. He is lucky to have a dad who not only generously takes his time to help Bob, but also spends time helping others. The karma boomerang is heading your way....

Congrats!!!! So tell me when you got it on the first poke, was it enough blood? I tested Cedric the other day, got blood on the first pooke probably for the first time and it apparently it was not enough for the One touch!

Coungrats & hugs to you and Bob from me and Cedric!

Huge thanks to everyone for the kind words.

Yes! Even I was amazed at that. The last time I tested him, it took three or four tries to get anything, and even then I had to masage the heck out of his ear to get a big enough drop. Last night, one nice not-too-big, not-to-little drop, with no coaxing. I should have filmed it for youtube!

Carl

Congrats to you and Bob!!! :RAHCAT I don't come here often anymore since Shady is still OTJ (fingers crossed he will stay that way), but I remember how helpful you were in my short time here.
