Anyone know the carbs in this food? The back of the can says it is 95% chicken & grain free. I know it's not on Dr. Lisa's list, but am thinking about offering it to Gobbles & civvies. According to my calculations, it should be roughly about 2% carbs, but I wanted other opinions.

Anybody?

I don't know how to do the conversions, but from the ingredient list, it looks like it'd be pretty low carb. No grains, but has some potato

Maybe try it out on one of the civies first? Bg test the civie, feed, test again 1 and 2 hours later to see if the BG went up a lot or a little.

Or call and ask the manufacturer for the "as fed" values.

Dont take the chance

Civvie might not behave the same (BG wise) as a diabetic diet controlled cat. If in any doubt, dont feed. remission is such a tentative thing, that unless its on janet/binky or dr pierson then I wouldnt take the chance. I blame a higher carb food mistake for Tiggy falling out of remission.
