? blood stains in cat litter

I found Triton trying to "pee" in a empty amazon box on the living room floor and I went to check and saw blood. I also found blood stain in his cat litter.

Has this ever happen to anyone?

Happened with my cat. Was a Urinary Tract Infection. Very common with diabetic cats. He was treated with antibiotics.

I agree it sounds like a UTI. A trip to the vet is in order. Peeing in unusual places is a sign, as is the blood in the urine.

Uti. Make sure you get oral antibiotics. The antibiotics shot doesn't usually work on uti.

Vet may need to do cystocentesis and get a urine sample to get a culture and sensitivity done to target the specific bacteria.

Convenia (the usual antibiotic given by injection) is meant for treatment of bacterial SKIN infections. Some sort of broad spectrum antibiotic could be used if the UTI is bacterial. Could be idiopathic.
