Blitzen Day 3 OTJ trial

So today is day #2 and actually this morning makes 48 since Blitzen has had insulin. Keeping paws crossed that this is really happening.

its really happening. I still say that cat had an infection that cleared, and he was never really diabetic at all.

Both cats were DX three weeks apart, Dasher is now in remission and Blitzen is on his way hopefully . I suspected the hard food as the culprit but the vet was like NO . I too think it's fishy that the went into remission so quickly.
What type of infection could of caused this in your opinion? They did have all the signs of diabetis , thirst, urin output & hunger.

I couldnt begin to guess. Likewise I have no idea what sort of infection Sammy had this summer that caused her to stop eating, peeing more, drinking more, hiding and her BG jumped up to 16. (288). As soon as she finished her antibiotics, she went right back to her OTJ self.
 
As I posted on your thread in Feline Health, I'm curious about the diagnostic testing your vet carried out.
