Does anyone have any experience with this? This is what the vet diagnosed Shadow's eyelid issue as. He has always had one little "growth" on his eyelid, but in the last 2 weeks he developed a second and the first one got bigger.

I asked the vet if she thought his blood sugars being out of control this last few weeks could have caused it and she didn't really have an answer. In doing research today I found this....

"Other causes of blepharitis include external trauma to the eyelids, endocrine problems such as diabetes mellitus"

So, I'm wondering if any of you have experience with this? The size and redness of the lumps seems to wax and wane.

Does it seem itchy at all? You may want to ask your vet if they can do a cell biopsy and rule out mast cell tumors which can occur on the face. Also, rule out mites, as certain species of mites like this area of the face. If your cat has other "cat acne" areas (behind the ears, base of tail, or under the chin), I would treat for mites with selamectin or ivermectin (hartguard oral) and do at least 2 treatments.

Interesting. Not long ago my sugar had something that appeared similar on her ear (see pic) . I used an antibiotic cream on it (mupirocin 2%) but obviously that's not a good option near the eye. She has had these little bumps before and they just went away after a few days but this one got bigger and actually looked a little yellowy in the middle almost like a small boil.

In humans (which may or may not transfer to cats!), aging may be accompanied by thickening of the meibomian gland tear secretion. Part of the treatment for that is gently cleaning the area with a few drops of baby shampoo and applying warm compresses to help thin the tear secretion.
Maybe discuss these ideas with your vet to see if either option might be helpful.

Thanks for your suggestions. He doesn't have any other areas of fur loss or swelling and the area doesn't seem to be itchy. It really doesn't seem to bother him at all.

In the picture, the one near the inner corner of his eye has been there for a long time- like years but as the swelling at the top of his eye increased, the lump by the corner started to form almost like a head on a pimple.

I guess we'll do the antibiotics and see what happens. A steroid ointment would be next. I did wonder about Mast cell......
