Hello-

I'm a newbie and am going to be changing my cat over to canned food only as soon as I get my test kit and the testing procedure down.

I've seen many mentions of the Binky's list for canned food that are ok to feed. I found a list but the one I looked at said it was last updated in 2008. Am I looking at the right list or am I not seeing the most current one?

Sort of. Binky's list was done in 2004/5 and redone in 2008. The cals are considered pretty accurate on it still but do not use it to do the phosphorous values as they are way out of whack.

Currently there is what we call Hobo's list that one Suze (Pumbaa) is trying to update but the manufacturers aren't being that helpful. It has the new information on it.

I'm very new to all this so I'm learning. Why would I need to know phosphorous values?

I'll check out Hobo's list.

Thanks.
