Just another normal night at the office, with pictures:

So, there's another of those pesky TS's wreaking havoc with the Gulf Coast, and even hundreds of miles away, the effects are seen and felt. Two nights of heavy rain, and this on the skyline from South to North:
Ugly clouds mean more rain tonight

But the setting sun is a sign of nicer days ahead

But it's the little things that REALLY MATTER!

Underneath all those clouds, life goes on:

Underneath about 60 cubic feet of sand, a couple hundred ping-pong ball sized eggs are just waiting for the night they get to hatch and their contents spill out of the ground to head for the water, just like they've been doing for millions of years. They could not care less about Tropical weather...

And all the big waves allowed this little treasure to become part of my ever-growing collection:

Life goes on. And life is good!

Thanks carl for the wonderful pictures. Wondered if the sea turtles were still hatching. Sorry to hear you are getting the TS's effects. Glad it's not a hurricane, at least. Good to know the sunset showed good day ahead. Looks like it's going to be a HOT weekend!

Lori,
We haven't had any hatch yet. Probably within the next 10 days the first of the nests will hatch out. Momma's are still coming in every night to nest though!
