hello everyone, our Big Papa diagnosed with diabetes late December 2017. His numbers were in the high 500-700. Started on Vetsulin didn’t help at all. Changed to Humilin and within a week numbers came down to 150. He takes 10 ml in the am and 5ml in the evening. It’s time for him to go back to vet for his 3rd glucose curve.
He’s on Purina DM. I give him (his weight 11 lbs) 1 tablespoonful of can and 1/4 c of dry. Twice a day. Please give me your advise if I’m doing anything wrong.
 
Welcome! I’m glad the humilin is working for Big Papa. Are you giving 10 units in the AM and 5 units at night? Are you home testing? We highly recommend it as it’s the best way to really see how well the insulin is working, and you won’t have to go to the vet for curves.
