Evenin' everyone. Thought I'd fill you in since it looks like I'll be up all night. Asher made a dive to 46 at +3.5 tonight. We have him back up to 59 now and just fed some mid carb. No bad symptoms, he was happy to eat since he's hungry with his new diet. I think we tackled too much at once, cutting his food down as the vet requested so he can loose weight, and then trying to get him back on track after the meter disaster with a higher dose.

We have one job for the rest of the month, and naturally it's tomorrow. And the dental hell is Wednesday. Can't win. Just glad we caught this. I'll have to sleep later in the week I guess.

I'll keep you posted. Hoping to avoid the karo. Looks like he's on his way up for now. I am bad at dancing :sad:
 
67 is our current number, hopefully still going up. Thanks Sue, we try but these crazy things keep happening.

You know how everything is always written off as "I think that's Murphy's Law"? I'm thinking there should be "Sugarkitty's Laws". Because the fact that only one job is on the list, and Asher is going to prohibit a good night's sleep tonight would be one of them!

Here's the thing Donna, (and everyone else).... there might be stress from other junk in my life, but y'all keep in mind...there's no "sugarkitty" stress here. That, I can try my best to defuse as needed. And I'm always happy and willing to give it my best shot!

The 60 was at +5. I will be testing again at 11 east coast time. That will be 5.5. If he goes down again we'll feed him more.
 
lol....11 east coast was 58 minutes ago. Did somebody "fall back" twice this year?

+5.5 is back to 70. I think it'll be like this until his nadir which has been around +7 or 8.....
 
You could let him have a special treat meal, and that should get him through nadir and beyond?
 
Yeah I have a shrimp in the fridge with his name on it. I'll mix that with a little food. He is sleeping now. Maybe I'll feed him around 1 so I can get a couple hours sleep.
 
Shrimp??!! Bob is jealous!
Sounds like a good plan. Couple hours of sleep is better than none....
 
I always keep a stash in the freezer to thaw as needed. If I need a kitty to eat something, shrimp is a nice insurance policy.
 
Never a dull moment around here! I just woke up to give Kitty her pm shot and thought I would check in..... Wasn't expecting this!

Not happy to hear what's going on with Asher. Hope you get the BG level and you manage to get in a few hours sleep.

Don't want anyone to worry. We are past the initial shock of "holy crap he's 46!!!". We are checking often and will make sure he's safe.
 
I know he is in good hands!!!!! I am going to finish off my glass and go to sleep.

Here's hoping he goes up soon and you can get some sleep also!

We are at 89 now. Gonna set the alarm and grab a snooze. Sweet dreams beans and kitties.

Thanks Lisa, you are sweet to ask. You caught me right before we blow out the door.

He is fine. He has been fine thru everything, it’s me that’s nutz :shock:

I fed a snack after he hit 89 around 2 am or so, then I went to bed for a couple hours, got up to check on him and then slept till 5.
He was a little low when I tested for amps, 146, but I know he got into the food I left out last night while I was still in the shower this morning, so sure enough, he was 257 next time I tested him in about 20 mins. Food tainted number obviously...

So we shot low today (3 units, low for us) and I fed a bit more since we have to work. I will leave out food today too, diet be damned. We hope to be home by mid afternoon to check on him.

How's Asher this morning? If I were a betting woman, I'd say he's as perky as ever and wanting more shrimp. ;-)
 
Sorry i missed all the fun last night. Been going to bed early lately to get over this cold. . It seems all our kitties are doing the low dance at night. Bad kitties!

Oh well, Glad to see Asher is doing better! Hope he has a good day and night!

Caught your post around 3 when I was poking Cass, but the action was all over. Glad Mr. Asher is doing well; hope you got some sleep.
 
Back home to a comfortable 160 this afternoon. (Thank god, I was still worried even tho we shot low)
Momma is going to take a nap now, I am too old- 3 hours of sleep don’t cut it for me anymore.

Tomorrow is dental hell day. I’ll post again to let you know all that drama :shock: Stay tuned on the all kitty all the time channel ;-)
