? Big Bounces- causes? Advice?

I'd posted earlier about Murphy not seeming to respond to his Prozinc. And, just like that, I got readings at 165 and 107 the other night. I cut back one of his doses by .25.
Today, I had a reading at 537, which is so high that I immediately tested his other ear and got 388.
I purchased a ReliOn meter today, too, and tested him PMPS, along with my AT meter. The AT meter showed him at 514, immediately testing again with a 509. I tested the second sample with the ReliOn meter, and it read 387.
I am so confused about how he's bouncing so much.
He seems to be feeling well- good energy- loving, etc.

Any thoughts on causes for these extreme numbers?
Thoughts on the inconsistent meter reading this afternoon?
It makes me wonder how may times I may get inaccurate readings?
Poor fella has bruised up ears from the last few days.:(
 
I’ve abused my babies ears numerous times. The meter readings are not really inconsistent if you factor in the margin for discrepancy... deep breaths and keep doing what you’re doing Meter error margin is 20% and I’ve seen that on the same drop of blood with same meter

Thank you! I'm as concerned, if not more so, by the extremes in his BG. I've seen a swing from 165 to 504 in 24 hours? :banghead:
We're at 357 (262 on ReliOn)before bed, so feeling ok for now...
