Hello,

I have a quick question about bg numbers especially after food digestion. Juliet tested at 198 at 6:00pm and i feed her right after. Testing 2 hours later it was down to 191. Shouldn't it have gone up after eating?

It seems really strange to me. o_O

Remember, meters can have up to a 20% variance, so that's basically the same number as the PS. Food spikes are funny things...they can vary from cat to cat and from time to time....the best you can do is occasionally get a +1 along with your +2's and see if you can identify a pattern for Juliet

Would you add which insulin you're using to your signature line? It doesn't say

Ah, never thought about it that way. I'm not giving her insulin right now. I do have some prozinc ordered. I have a vets appointment on Saturday. Hopefully he'll be better than the current one and we'll start the prozinc Sunday. Is just encouraging to see her numbers start too make their own way down and hopefully we'll be able to help her into a remission.

That 198 isn't too bad to start with!! Hopefully with a little insulin and time, Juliet will be one of the lucky ones that can go into remission quickly!

Feeding the low carb foods really does make a heck of a difference, doesn't it?
