BG dropping at +17 w/o injection

Just curious-Leo's at +18 from his last .1 u dose. His BG has been dropping all morning, from 118 at +13, to 84 at +15, and most recently 67 at +17. He's eating as he usually does, and I've been offering him smaller, more frequent meals. Is this the way his glucose values should be as he works his way down in terms of insulin needs?

I can't answer your question as we use Lantus but wish I had your problem! I just had to tell Leo what a BEAUTIFUL boy he is too!

Those numbers are perfect! Without insulin he won't drop into "hypo" numbers. He is regulating himself. This is a good thing!

This is great news! The small frequent meals are helping his pancreas to lower the numbers without the insulin. Perfect! It may be that the pancreas gets tired and he goes back up some, or it may just continue to work. Looking good!

I'm glad to hear that this is good news. Was worried that he wasn't eating enough, or something...he seems to be eating about the same amount though.

Squeaky & KT-I have to tell you that he is one of those kitties that knows it, too-uses those eyes of his every chance he gets, LOL!
