Hi ya'll! Thanks for 'inviting' me over. :-)

Any one with ideas on why Bud's BG is low in the morning and high in the afternoon? We've not been shooting in the morning as she's under 200 and there is no one there to watch her I her BG starts to drop after shooting.

Your comments are most welcome.

Thank you!

What's you feeding schedule like? Food in = BG up.

Free feeding is the recommended. Cats should eat 10-20 small meals per day. If you cat is a hoover kitty then this does not apply and you should get a timed feeder. The ones with 5 slots are best.

Can you take the spread sheet out of your location in your profile?

Gator....

We test, feed and shoot at 5:15 am and pm (give or take), Was told on the health board that we should not shoot if under 200. There's no one there to keep testing in the morning to see if it goes over 200. Occasionally, we have a lady that comes to let the dogs out that does take her BG. We also leave food out for her over night and she usually doesn't eat all from the morning. We have 2 cats and give them a 1/2 can (5.5oz) each at each feeding. Who know which eats what bit we've been in the process of finding those that at 5 and under on carbs that she loves to eat.

I don't understand what you mean about taking my spreadsheet out of the location in my profile. Sue set it all up for me. Do you see it at the bottom of my posts?

I am on the road at the moment and will be home tomorrow night. I do have Tuesday off which will be my last day off before Xmas. After Xmas, I have January off so will be there to keep a very close eye on Bud's testing and eating and shooting.

Thank you.

Thanks, Charliemeow.... glad ya'll are over here for me!

Hi and welcome to our group,

I took a look at your ss and I think that if you take that 2 units once a day that you're shooting now and split it into two shots 1 unit am and 1 unit pm it would even out in his system and then he wouldn't go without insulin for 12 hours a day.

Food experiments are always fun, I hope you find one they love.
