Best ways to avoid multiple ear pricks?

Five times last night before success, four times this morning still no blood. We're skipping this morning but need to do it at 3 pm.

What's the best way to get blood without terrorizing one's own cat?

I found singing to help my anxiety, it sounds crazy but I think it also distracted my cat from being afraid. And yes the tops above... sing while you’re massaging the ear with warm rice sock. My cat was totally blind & starting whining each time I picked her up. Desensitizing too. @Sharon14 taught me this trick. Bring her to the table (or where you go to test) with a chicken bite & not test. I also just picked my girl up more & carried her around the house & sang to her. It really does get so much easier when the vessels begin to bleed easier. Good luck, best wishes & hang in there! Great job for testing btw

The others have given you some great tips. I’ll just add to be sure your lancets are size 26-28. If you are using Relion, they are the white ones
