I may have to travel for 3 days for work.

Is there a safe way to board a 17 year old cat with diabetes that is dynamic? I called the animal hospital where he would get the best medical care 24x7, but they do not board animals. My primary vet is only open 7:00-5:00 and they tend not to be experienced with diabetes that is not consistent. In addition, my cat tends not to eat while captivity so that could create even more of incsonstant behavior in his diabetes.

The best would be if you could hire someone to come to your house, maybe one of the vet techs from your clinic. It may also be good to lower his dose while your gone since no one would be there to monitor. If you go this route, have the sitter come over a few times to get to know your cat before you leave.
