Best type of U-40 needles to get?

I am thinking I want to buy a different type of U-40 need so I can administer 0.25 doses a little easier.

The needles I currently have only show the full units, so I can eye-ball the 0.5 doses, but not any smaller.

I see all the AWD ones say they have 1/2 markings, including the brand I use.

Or should I just consider doing the u-100s with conversion?

If you are comfortable with the conversion I would use U100 syringes. Easier to get and less expensive than U40's

I encourage you to try the U100s with the conversion. It seems confusing until you actually do it. You'll be glad you switched!

So for 2.2U of my Vetsulin, I should draw to 5.5 on the U-100? I just want to make sure I am reading it correctly.

Yes, for 2.2 units of a U40 insulin your draw that up top the 5.5 unit markings on a U100 syringe
