Best time to exercise?

My cat loves to chase food for exercise. Just wondering what is the best time to exercise in relation to eating/insulin shots. Is it better to exercise when blood sugar is high or low?

my thoughts would be more when it's higher. but it would also depend on how much exercise was being done.

the reason i say that is because exercise can lower glucose levels and it's known they can actually exercise themselves right into a hypoglycemic event. soooooooooo, if at +6 kitty is normally at 50, with a bunch of exercise at that same time, he could exercise himself right on down into lower numbers which could potentially be bad. but a little exercise might not.

in other words, a little exercise more frequently might be better than too much at once. if that makes sense :-)
