Hi all,

I've recently been shopping around for test strips as I ran out from my newbie kit. Wow, they can be expensive! We use the Bayer Contour-can anyone recommend a good site to order them?

Toes is still off insulin and while I've not done a full curve on him, his spot checks have all been below 100. :-D I recently talked to our vet about hometesting and he was supportive too!

Thanks,
Erin

I always bought my Contour strips on eBay, and paid about 20c each ($20 per 100 including shipping). It takes patience and lots of bidding, but it can be done. I tended to bid on multiple auctions at once. Of course this occasionally results in winning a pile of strips at the same time, so watch the expiration dates.

Hocks.com, using the green ad at the top of th FDMB boards.

HealthWarehouse.com has a couple brands of test strips. The ones listed as mail order are the cheapest. There is no difference between them and the ones listed as professional or retail. It's the exact same product, just different package labelling and price.

I've occasionally bought Aviva test strips from the HealthWarehouse.com storefront on Amazon.com for less than what the main HealthWarehouse.com site was selling them for. You might want to check Amazon.com and compare prices.
