I tried the Bravo metre as a back-up to a FreeStyle Lite. The strips are 40CDN for 100 and the metre was free. Shipping was fast. It read a bit higher than my FreeStyle Lite, and the strip takes blood from the end, not the side - I guess it is all what you are accustomed to and can get used to. Apparently, some folks on the diabetic cat Facebook page use it. You might ask there. It did require a larger blood drop. And that is what you should research with the metre you are looking at. You'll probably waste some strips if the blood drop isn't big enough.

It is said that the sample size is 0.5 µL, which is smaller than the requirement for the meter I use. Its good. I have Bravo on my radar.
Thank you.

One difficulty with a mail order only metre is that you have to make sure you have plenty of strips. There's no running out to the drug store to by more.
