BENT NEEDLE

In almost 5 years, I have never pulled out a bent needle after shooting Corky, I did not feel any fluid on her fur, as well as no odor on the fur, as soon as I saw the bent needle, has this happened to anyone? I will be sitting on the sofa frustrated till +2 & +4 to test, Corky has been so tightly regulated for so long, I almost fainted when I pulled out the needle. Also, his ProZinc has always kicked in at +2 and now it actually kicks in at +4; that's 4 hours after shot! I find that unusual; if anyone can ease my mind I would be appreciated it

Hi Maria! It looks like Corky is doing all right tonight. I see his +2 and his +4 and everything looks excellent. His spreadsheet is so pretty. He stays in green almost all the time. I’m sorry about the bent needle, but as usual Corky is unphased by all this.

He did have a few oddball days where his preshot was a little higher, but he’s settled back down. It’s not uncommon to have a few cycles that are different. Overall his numbers look amazing! And it looks to me like his onset time is still +2 although he’s definitely been going down by +3 when you have been testing the last several days. Remember that he is generally starting out with a preshot number that isn’t high, so he doesn’t have as far to drop — he goes down to green and stays there for most of the day. Corky is the poster cat for how great a cat can do on ProZinc!

YES HE IS! He gets many compliments from new members on his SS. My hero! My determination for him to stay healthy has paid off! the Vet said in his 30 years of working with cats, he has 9 cats, this is the first diabetic cat he has seen with such an incredible health. WE ARE PROUD!!
