Ben has had bloody urine about 4 months. The first vet's clinic is shutting down.
Ben went to Murray Animal Hospital Utah July 3rd. I needed something fast to get by until the imaging vet got back. Dr C gave him Gavapentin. That does not seem to have helped.
Ben has an appointment thursday July 11th with the imaging vet for an ultrasound. I asked previous vet about imaging and was told they only had xray and wouldn't show soft tissue problems?
It's so bad for me doc Karma retired. She was always right on with dx.
Ben has Royal Canin SO Moderate Calorie on order.

Which one of those Royal canin varieties did you get? And do you know the carb content?
Has the vet considered FLUTD?
An ultrasound will show soft tissue in the bladder. That is how Sheba was diagnosed with FIC.
Google FLUTD and FIC

The carb content is in the upload. SO moderate calorie @12% says RC info. Still working on trying to find dx. I am hoping the ultrasound will show what's going on. I am so stressed after all these months. I have not been good with spread sheet but his bg readings have been consistently 170-210. At least we are steady there.
Hoping this new animal hospital will get us on a path to recovery. I say goodbye to the vet closing and not helping. I asked for Gabapentin and Adequin from him without getting anything but antibiotics that didn't help.
Right away new vet said prrobaly FIC and gave Gabapentin. Been waiting for ultrasound

Ben didn't even want to eat meat babyfood today. He seems to be going downhill. I am of the opinion if they will eat it, feed it. So, I made us a New York steak. YES, he ate til he was full then ate more a few hours later! :cat:
It's gotta be bordom from not feeling well. He is always in one of his boxes or 1 of his 2 hiding places. He does come to lay on me and get forhead scratches at least once a day. :bighug:
