Ben The Bengal Cat had an ultrasound today. He had a large mass on his liver and a tumor in his bladder. He was humanly euthanized this morning at 11 AM.

I knew he was in pain and thought he had tumors in his bladder due to the fack nothing was stopping his bladder from bleeding.
Thank you for all the loving help through this and his diabetes care.

Liver and bladder cancer, it may have been in his pancreas too. That may have been why he relapsed with his remission. He had bladder bleeding a year ago too.
Heartbroken, but at 16 that would make him 80 in human years.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is never easy to say goodbye to our pets. Ben knows you love him and did not want him to suffer.

Fly free sweet Ben and watch over everyone who loves you.

I am going in for a checkup to make sure I will be healthy enough to take care of an emotional support animal 15-20 years that the kitty angels send me.
I will also contact Best Friends Animal Sanctuary to set up a plan if anything should happen to me that they will find care for my future ESA.

I posted in my Emotional Support group on Facebook about my obsession of Ben's pain. I got a response of "do you feel you did all you could?" Yes. That helped me immensely.
Today I took a 2 mile walk to the library to see a documentary, then found new friends to sit and chat with. From there I walked to the grocery store.
I feel so much better. I feel I have unburdened myself about cat_wings>oBen's pain. I have even started looking at Bengal recues for adoption.
I might adopt an older kitty needing their forever home.

I hope you will seriously consider adopting an older kitty. Kittens can always find homes, but the seniors, especially ones with medical problems, can spend years in a cage waiting for somebody to love.

That's how I got my Garfield. I have some pretty significant medical problems myself so I didn't want to adopt a young cat since I don't know how much time I have left (like everybody else). He was listed as a diabetic too so his chances of a forever home were almost nil...until I came along. The diabetes diagnosis didn't bug me one bit. I'd done the sugardance before and didn't have any problem with dealing with it again.

Ben passed from a large mass on his liver. Because of this I thought I better go to my doctor. I got my blood results back today. A1c 5.4, normal range. But, Alk Phos, an indication of liver function is slightly high. IDK but ther could be something in the atmosphere I am easily paranoid.
