Beau - 8/23 - 2 pink PS# in a row!!!

Wow, we got 366 AMPS this morning, which is the 2nd pink PS# in a row on a reduced dose! Boy I miss that pink PS color!

I know 0.6 is not brining him down much so need to raise the dose. Should I go with small increments say 0.2 at a time or the standard 0.5 increases? That would be giving him either 0.8 or 1.1 starting today. Any thoughts?
 
When you increase or decrease, think of it in percentages....if you increased by .5 today , you would be almost doubling the dose (85 percent increase)---that is too much increase at one time. But, if you were like me and giving 3.5 units and increased by .5--that is a 15 percent increase--not much of an increase at all. It makes a really big difference when you think of it in percentages. I hope that makes sense!

Hey Kim - Wow, I never thought of it that way. It's making a lot of sense now to think of the dose increase in percentage instead of in units. Thanks for giving me these examples as they will definitely help me make better decisions in adjusting Beau's dosage. Hope you & Kitty are doing well through the storm!
 
Very nice night you had last night. That 400 is 1 point away from being pink so don't get discouraged.

Be sure to stick with the .8u for a few more days and let Beau settle into it. Glad you are checking for ketones.

Thanks Robin! Knowing that we saw results by sticking with 0.6 for 3 days to let the previous rebound clear out of his system, I will for sure stick to the 0.8 for at least as long if not longer so his body can adjust to this dose since he seemd to respond well last night and his liver is probably just in panicking mode now. Hopefully this will ride out soon.
