Yes definitely clearing bounces faster now if he would acclimate a little more to lower numbers it would seem like Christmas.

For any lurkers usually you wait till a cat's BG is below 50 to give honey or syrup but since I wasn't certain how long I would be absent and Bear wouldn't eat any food I chose to play it safe.
I am glad Bear didn't go below 50BG while I was gone.
I gave him 30 units of honey in a 0.3 ML syringe at +6.5.

Yuck Wendy! The second time he has gone below 50 on this dose.
Do you think this dose is too much?
At 2.25 units his BG wasn't that great.
Would you hold or reduce?

Side note.
Bear's vet thinks Bear's canines are too long and recommends extracting them.
Do you think long canines are detrimental when eating?

Why would you extract healthy teeth? If they are not bothering him I am not sure I would.

I had 1 cat with one "fang". It just hung out just a tad...never bothered her.

I agree with you - let's see if we can get him used to green a bit more. Go for the three drops under 50. As long as you can monitor of course.

I also agree with Tracey. WTH?! Neko's canine was doing a bit of rubbing against her lower gum where there was some soft tissue growth. It wasn't an overly long fang. Dental vetty trimmed the fang back a bit so it no longer rubbed. I would also talk to a dental vet first. Neko's vet was thinking extraction of the lower tooth cause she thought the inflammation meant bad tooth. Dental x-rays and a specialist told otherwise.

I wouldn't agree to extraction unless it was causing Bear problems eating or other problems.

Ouch, 229 BG increase in 2 hours.
Since Bear hasn't surfed green for an extended amount of time for quite a while I expected a large bounce.
