I wanted to start off with Baxter's SS is not update. I am finding it hard to update 6 months worth of numbers.

Recently, his number have been higher than usually (in the two hundreds). His numbers are now in the 300-400s. He finished around of antibiotics for a UTI about 2 weeks ago.

Tonight he is 412 and I don't know how much to give him.
Can someone please help me. I know I don't have numbers on his SS, but I do have them written all down.

He is on a sliding scale
250-299-.8
300-349-1.0
And I don't have anything higher

Jenn,

Don't worry about catching up the spreadsheet - how about skipping some lines and putting on the last week or so?

Is there any chance he still has the UTI? I wonder if he needs another round of antibiotics? The insulin looks good?

If you can get a test in tonight around nadir, how about 1.25 units?

Sue, thank you so much for the suggestions on the SS. I can difently get this whole months updated on there.

I am not sure about him still having the UTI. What symptoms would I look for? He isn't squatting around like he was doing a few weeks ago.

I went with 1.5 & plan on testing a few times before I go to sleep. I don't work tomorrow somI was thinking of a curve tomorrow. I hate his numbers being all over the place & not having a balance. I am so frustrated!

I think you'd see a change in litter habits - more peeing, pain - but maybe there aren't always noticeable symptoms.... Maybe call the vet tomorrow and take in a urine sample.

Since his numbers have been higher he eats alots more. He always acts so hungry. He is also drinking a lot more. He acts like last year before he was DX. His numbers don't really move either with any dose of insulin. He is back at IHOP as we call it.

How old is the vial of insulin?
Baxter, IHOP is no longer the cool place to hang out. None of your old buddies hang out there any more. The cute looking babe that used to work there? She got fired for flirting with too many customers. She was just looking for a sugar daddy.

Hi Jenn -

Sorry to hear about Baxter's numbers. Some people attribute them to the full moon we recently had... I credit Grayson's with his gunky ear. We go in tomorrow to get a sample to send off - maybe then we can get either an AB or drops that will clear it up. I can see his numbers go up & down like an elevator - and parallel with ear gunk. Go figure!!! He just can't have an ear infection when he's got places to go for Christmas!!!

And Baxter Buddy...
Carl is right. IHOP is no longer the place to hang out. Today I went to PetSmart - just like the dogs! I even got to sit on Santa's lap! I told him they're out of FD Chicken... and he better get on that! You shoulda seen all the feathery toys there!!! And the BIRDIES - real ones, not like the ones on your flat thing! Tell your mama to take you - maybe I'll see you there!!!
Your pal,
Grayson

Hi Baxter! I have been thinking about IHOP, but mom says I can't go there. Grayson, I'm jealous that you got to go to PetsMart and see Santa Paws! Would you tell him that I would like toys with strings? And some crunchy food - I love crunchy food. Baxter, I hope you feel better and your numbers come down. My numbers go up and down lots, but I'm still feeling good and playing tiger outside. You have to feel really good to be a tiger.
Time for bed, tigers need lots of sleep. Keep in touch, buddy!

yur frend,
Linus

So THAT's why Sneakers is hanging around the IHOP- she and Baxter are getting cozy together over in the corner :o

Sorry to hear his numbers are heading up and leveling off in a number range you don't like.
