I just popped in on Baxter. Well I came home for lunch & a quick test.
Not sure what to think about today's cycle so far.

A bounce from yesterday's lovely numbers? Ok, here is a question for Robin or Carl. If you are using a sliding scale, do you change anything to avoid shooting into a bounce?
 
He could have just eaten some food. I did leave it out for him. I picked it up when I was home. I will be home soon & get another test.

Baxter! Baxter! Baxter! Don't you know our moms like our numbers to go DOWN between shots??? Did you think the gang was off to IHOP or something? You gotta be careful, man! You don't have a doggie to blame anything on! Not like Linus or me. Now go chill in front of the flat thing and watch some birdies. That should chill you out a little, and maybe you'll be "yellow" for your mom when she gets home!

When you know it is a bounce like on 6/8 where he went from 159 into the 300's I always stuck with the last good dose given which on 6/8 would have been .6u. That way when the bounce clears they don't have too much insulin on board that their bodies want to fight.


I'm with Sue, this looks like a nice slow bounce from yesterday, maybe he is starting to get used to the blue's again.

I'm not sure if I dosed right. My scale says .8. But when bounce is talked about I get confused on what to dose. I understand a little of what a bounce is, but really could use some research to understand completely.
 
Today's cycle would look inverse if you didn't factor in the bounce. It looks like he is clearing the bounce within 2 cycles so tomorrow should be a good day if his trends continue.

Don't worry, you'll get this.
 
I miss being here and I miss being up to date on Baxter.

Unfortunatly my full time job has me working up to 50 hours a week. Doesn't leave enough time to live my life.
 
Wow you are working alot. I need to pm you soon to catch you up on Baxter & I. You know I am forever greatful for all your help with Baxter & his scale.

Wow, Robin, 50 hours a week is a lot. Make sure to take time to recharge. You're important to us, so we want you to take care of yourself!

Speaking of working...Jenn, how's your job going?

Come over to Levemir and say, "HEY!" when you get a chance. We're about half-way through our first cycle...feeling clueless, but have met some very friendly, helpful people.

I miss both of you already. Baxter is really going to miss Grayson & Hershey. You know him & how he likes to still the "flat thing" don't be surprised if you see him post in Lev. I will try my hardest to keep him off & explain to him the Lev family might be different then the PZI family.

Hey, Baxter - I heard your mama said she's going to try to keep you from writing to us since we went somewhere new. We just left yesterday and already I get to eat more FOODIES! My mama stayed up with another mama most of the night and I just kept getting poked and fed until I saw the sun coming up this morning. Hershey, my mom gave me a hair cut & I'm mad so I doing bad stuff. I already got on here once earlier & talked to Grayson. Mom yelled my name in a angry voice. I don't care dad told her she doesn't know how to cut hair. I am going to miss you. I already miss Grayson & Shakes. I miss that cute little gray cat...her name is Sneakers. Do you see her where you went? She is cute, I like her. She does funny things. How do you get to where you moved to? I want to see all my old friends. I can't ask mom cause she will say no.
I better go don't forget tell me where to go so I can say hi to you & the rest of the gang. Remember give your mom nice numbers. She will give lots of love like my mom. Except she gave me a bad hair cut today. See you soon Hershey!
