I took care of Baxter on our early schedule this morning. Was laying in bed & was thinking & then thought Oh gosh I just gave him the wrong dose.
I didn't convert....instead of giving him .5 u-40. I gave Baxter .5 u-100 which is really only .2 in a u-40.

Is there anyway I can give him a little more? I am sure this is a really stupid question.
I know .2 isn't going to do a darn thing.
Geez I'm so stupid when I'm sleepy.
Oh well I guess it better the giving him 5u instead of .5.

If it just happened and you KNOW KNOW KNOW that you gave 0.2 then in your situation I would correct the dose.

I know I did give him only .5-u-100.
By the time I saw your post it's had been already 1 hr past me giving his shot.

I guess this situtation will just help me tonight shoot earlier. The dinner party is @ 7:30 & I had planned on shooting at 7:00 which would make me late. To the dinner....now I can just do it a little earlier & be on time. That will put us on good time for tomorrow nights event to.

Guess I don't have to worry about hypo today. :razz: let's see what stores can I go to today & do non rushed shopping. Oooo mall day!! :-D or a long nap without waking up thinking oh Baxter, I got to check Baxter. :-D
 
See, there's an advantage to our kitties - either on a low dose (intentionally or accidentally), or those that don't tend to drop!

The nap sounds good to me - I've been doing household chores interspursed w/ posting... Calgon, take me away!!! :lol:

Grayson is playing w/ a krinkle ball and talking as he prances all over w/ it! I used to worry when he made this noise, but now realize he's just being playful! Imagine that!!!

You know, you might be surprised about what he does on his own. I once gave Josie a fur shot and I thought her numbers would be just awful. I was seriously considering going ahead and giving her more insulin even though my vet told me NEVER to do that. But since I KNEW it was a fur shot and obviously home test, I thought it would be fine. But when I tested her a few hours later, her numbers weren't really THAT bad. So we did nothing and it was just sort of a flattish cycle. We've had worse cycles WITH insulin. So, you might be surprised. He might have a good cycle anyway!
 
I know what you mean about stupid sleepy! @-) At least now you can shoot when you wanted to without worry. Enjoy your evening!
 
All kitties show pretty numbers while I am out tonight.

Baxter won't be getting on the iPad while I'm gone. Its going to be put way up. No bird watching while I'm gone & no getting on the board either make comments on friends threads.

I went with .4 for peace of mind tonight. Actually 274 isn't so bad for low dose this morning.
 
Sorry Baxtter will miss out on playing w/ his friends. Mommy really needs to let him have more play dates!

Hehe it's Baxter...mom is still gone.....She left in a hurry tonight & left the flat thing out. I'm upset so I don't care if she sees this message. Do you know where my mom is? She is suppose to home giving me a test now. Plus I licked my bowl clean.

Grayson your mom didnt lock you in the food box? I told my mom to call the Humaine Society on your mom. You don't want to get locked in a food box. So don't wake her up in the middle of the night for food.

Hershey I saw your numbers. Cant you tell your pancreas to act right? My goodness I saw your are driving your mom crazy. Your mom might get locked in a food box for going crazy. Give her pretty numbers.

I sure hope my mom comes home soon. I miss her! I want her to test me & be happy!

Finally I am home. Oh Baxter...you have been up to no good again.

His bowl was licked clean which he never does. I am wondering if he dropped low. He will act hungry when he gets lower numbers.

Hoping for a good early early morning. I have to feed & shot @ 6:30am then @ 6:00pm.
