Bald spot on face two weeks after dental?

I came home and saw a spot on Jose's face missing fur and with two red dots. Could this just be from him itching at his face after his dental extractions on the 16th? Or could it be from something else?

If itchy, cats will scratch vigorously enough to dig out fur clumps.

What does the skin look like where the fur is missing? Does it look irritated? Scabby?

It's not dry or flaky or scabby it's just pink and there are two little red dots.

I wonder if they injected something there? Or applied something? Keep an eye on it and contact the vet if it gets worse.

Does your kitty have outdoor access?
Ticks can cause this kind of fur loss...

I'm not sure if they did anything there during his dental. They didn't say anything. Is that something they would have done when they removed his canine? In my previous posts I had been saying his incisor but I actually meant his canine was removed.

Also Jose is strictly an indoor cat so it's not likely to be ticks.

The detailed write up the vet makes in their records will indicate if a nerve block was given. It likely would not be in the discharge instructions.

Jose's second follow up appointment is tomorrow so I will definitely ask her about it. The spot looks ok. There are now two scabs on the skin.

The vet said it looks like it could have been a little bug bite. She said it didn't look bad but if it got worse or if Jose started acting different to bring him back in. Since then Jose has been fine and the fry is growing back. His mouth looked good after the dental too. We have one more day of antibiotics left. I'm curious to see what his BG will be like after tomorrow.
