Ok sooo I have been using a relion Premier Blu I got new month half or so when Venge came out of remission.... new tech etc .... so here is the odd thing lately when his numbers look weird ... I will retest like within 30 second in the same blood sample or a new one with a new strip and the numbers can be as much as 75 points off... is this normal being these are human meters being thats a whole range difference most of the time.. which test do I trust.. or could I have a bad meter??? the strips are new from same container and batch... so hmmmmm

I use the ReliOn Premier, it has a battery, the numbers can be very odd if the batteries are low, or not work at all or yes a bad meter, but these
ReliOn meters last a long time, I have been using the same one for 4 years, it can be the strips, the strips need to be kept in the vial at room temperature, cannot get wet, or they don't work, check the expiration date on the vial make sure the strips are not expired

There will always be measurement error no matter what meter you're using or what strips. Technically, this is referred to as standard error of measurement. It can happen with a ruler (which relies on your vision), a thermometer, calipers, etc. There are likely some laboratory tests where measurement error has been minimized but with an inexpensive measurement device like a glucometer, there is a margin of error. It's likely somewhere between 10 - 20%.
