Back to Blues

Somehow we are back to too many blues, I don't get it!! Nothing has changed, I thought yesterday it was a fur shot but his last BG was 91, it was the cover of the needle that bent the needle, and I know on Sundays he hates the Vacuum and his Bg slightly goes higher, but @+2/ 125 was too high for my eyes, perhaps there is an explanation that can make me feel better to what I am seeing, I wanted reductions, not increases, it saddens me and it scares me, I start to think all kinds of bad things that something is wrong; this is me venting right now):(:arghh::arghh::nailbiting::bighug::bighug::cat::cat:

You have the blues for the blues. :bighug: It's such a baffling disease!! How's Corky feeling, eating, all that good stuff?

It looks like there's just as many medium greens in that cluster too...

He's fine, he loves to keep me on my toes, it's weird, at the beginning, if Corky had Blue never mind green BGs, I would run around like a chicken without a head, and burning the keyboard with this Forum, it took almost a year for me to begin to feel comfortable seeing the blues, then the greens, now all I want to see is green BG's and I shoot with green BG's, because this is where he needs to be, to heal his pancreas, so I question myself just like many of us do, what is wrong? knowing we are doing everything we can for our precocious fur babies, but the reinforcement I have had with the members in this Forum, is what helps me know everything is ok, Corky's diabetes is well under control and regulated, I make sure not to step out of bounds when it comes to decision making, without advice, and yes it's disconcerting when I see he could be on remission, and then all these BGs out of place, pains me, even though I know he will be a life time diabetic, but the hope is always there.:bighug:;):cat::cat:

Alllll that green on his SS you'd think he would totally be heading to remission! You work so hard for him to keep him healthy and healing. I'm terrified with Petey's one green here and there... the sea of green will scare me to death for awhile. :bighug:

It does at first but now is a buréese, even Suzanne & Darcy, long time member that has been with me since the beginning awarded me with “The Balls of Steel” trophy with photo and all, I would not leave my house or be able to sleep with 150BG now I sleep like a baby when his last test shows the 70’s, you’ll get there, just know that that’s where they need to be to heal the pancreas, so anything above 60 just refuel with food every 1/2 hour and testing no need to pull out the HYPO KIT!! :D:bighug::cat::cat:PS:
I use ProZinc so the BG Stability might be a bit different with Lantus

Undoubtedly balls of steel! I don't know anything about ProZinc or much about much, but I am curious... what earns Corky a reduction? My analytical mind says there is a correlation between the medium/bright greens and the blues..

Lime color anything 49 or under , and still having this number the reduction was not done the last time. but then all the blues every day for a few days earned him an increase, crazy Huh! but I do everything I am told to do here and so far so good, I trust this Forum and the members that have helped me blindly!! and I mean BLINDLY!! I had no idea a bout Feline diabetes, never mind in Corky so it was a couple of months of his continuous water drinking, and him letting me pick him up without complaining one day, he felt like a feather, his weight id 16.5lbs he is a huge cat, he ended up hospitalized for 8 days, weighing only 8.5 lbs., when we left I was given a bag full of stuff, antibiotics, syringes insulin Miratz for appetite and a Libre sensor on his back, to monitor his BG, I was told he needed to be between 200-300 BG ,(LIED) the sensor came off 4 hours later being home, and the insulin vial fell off my hand the next day, AMPS, I was a reck, his Vet for 10 years, told me sorry! it was a nightmare I banged it the best I could for several months buying sensor after sensor they would stop working after the 4th-8th day no money, my complete small savings went to his care at that time, I found this Forum by coincidence, since that day I my Corky was saved!!:bighug::bighug::bighug::cat::cat:

So scary! Thank you for sharing your story with Corky, it's so relatable -those damn sensors! I soooo wanted them to work. I too am SOOO grateful for this forum. This forum should be proud, it's actually quoted in studies and journals as a reference. Love to you and Corky and all the Sugar Mama's and Papa's. :bighug:
