I've just got back from a five day trip. My cat was in the cattery, and they didn't manage to inject her with insulin. We expected as much (she does NOT let anyone near her unless it's myself or my partner; we've gone through three catteries, including one with a vet, and even they couldn't manage well) and so spoke with our vet beforehand to arrange special food.

Apparently for a few days she was throwing up the food, and now having got back, and got her at home, she's very lethargic and isn't eating very much. I managed to get her to eat a treat, and she's drinking, but otherwise just laying around.

Unfortunately I don't have anything at home to test her blood sugar (I will get something ASAP tomorrow when the shops open) and I don't really know what to do.

Does anyone have any advice?

I second what BJM suggested, to get her to a vet right away. With no insulin for that many days and now throwing up and being lethargic, there is a very good chance that it could be DKA. DKA is very serious and can be deadly if not treated quickly.
