B12 need info

Is Methal b12 the same as plain B12? Buddy has a gurgling tummy for a few weeks now, otherwise fine. Pepsid ac hasn't
stopped the gurgle, would like to try b12 . is it best to get a scrip for shots, or caps? how much to give for a 12 lb cat? thanks.

I don't know the difference between the two, but I always gave the shots. And it seems like I got the script filled at the compounding pharmacy. Don't worry, the vet will know the correct dosage.

For Diabetic neuropathy, you specifically want methylcolbalamin. The other b12 that you find in stores is colbalamin which is used to treat pernicious anemia.

For cats, its Zolbaline

Zolbaline has less additives and is the better choice for cats.

The vitacost one has a trace amount of rice flour.
My cat was just starting to show signs of her rear legs getting weaker and she reversed completely after I put her on the Vitacost version. I like it because it's a capsule and easy to mix in her food.
