Sorry, I haven't heard of anyone here using it. They aren't that expensive if you wanted to give it a try. Interesting to note that all of the reviews are from diabetic dog owners. Not sure how they make sure the bevel side is up for the injection (less painful that way).

I ordered one and it will arrive tomorrow. I will post how it goes! I was able to give Buddy his injection tonight without him noticing but I wonder if I hit fur. I'm still so hesitant with pokes and if he jumps I jump. poking the syringe into his body is like one of those jack in the box toys you wind up...so nerve wracking and scary. I'm not scared of lancing at all because I know it doesn't hurt him. What do you mean by bevel side up??

Look at the pictures in the post I linked in your other conversation. There is a flat part of the needle point, that is the bevel.

You would notice if you hit fur, Lantus has a very strong smell! We call those fur shots, everybody does them occasionally. As for hurting him, momma cat picks kittens up in their mouth by the scruff, he should be used to that being pulled up.

Ah right thankyou!

I have not smelled anything strange yet.
