Over the past 2 days I've run a curve and got a couple of unexpected numbers.
Yesterday we had a hypo (I have been using FF savoury with gravy centres thinking they're high carb - apparently not so what should I use?) which I was just lucky to pick up and I'd missed a dose 24hours earlier so wasn't going to run the curve!! Today shes been acting like she was starving to death so I gave an extra half tin. I then abandoned more numbers bcoz she would go high BUT she didn't! Despite lowering her insulin and the extra food her PMPS is very low for her (5.9) I'm worried but happy she might be headed for remission BUT the worry is an unexpected hypo. Now I'm home most of the next 5 days and she's already hiding from me bcoz of me stabbing her ear lol (all doors are shut so she can't get under the deck) but I feel I need to keep a close eye on her. How often should I test and what is high carb food as obviously the the one I'm using is actually zero carbs using the calculation method!! It has brought her out but not extremely quickly (within the half hour to an hour) I do have honey (can't find corn syrup where I am) and test strips but I don't want to stuff this up.
Her weight has dropped dramatically bcoz I can pick her up but haven't been able to for THREE years - would that be a factor in lower numbers? I have to go to the vet to weigh her and he's been closed all weekend.
Thanks.
