Good Morning Lantus Land, ~O) ~O) ~O)

Yesterday's Condo: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=36739

Recap: All yellows & Pinks....

WCR: Attie is quite frisky today. Of course warmer temperatures make all the difference in the world....yeah...for 23F high today near 45F. Yesterday Attie slept most of the day away...maybe today he'll be a bit more in spirits.

I am waiting for Gary #1 in the foster room to calm down as he/we just saw his shadow outside! :o And everybody is a little wound up about the matter. Gary has sprayed something in the room in his excitement. Yeesh...

Were there two Gary's all along? Well the one at the backdoor ran away as soon as he saw me. I bet that is the original Gary. Skittish, wild and feral. So...what poor neglected soul is in my foster room?

Re: Atlas Amps 155 (Two? OMG!)

Oh my what is going on over there......2 Gary's. Are you sure all you have been drinking is coffee?
Nice blue number today Attie.

Re: Atlas Amps 155, +3 140 (Gary :( test results)

((((((((((Beth)))))))))))) I'm so sorry. I'm thinking of you and sending lots of hugs your way.

Re: Atlas Amps 155, +3 140 (Gary :( test results)

Major bummer on that test result...I'm so sorry! He's lucky he is in your great hands. Do the two cats look that much alike...Gary and faux Gary? This will be interesting to sort out. And Attie is looking GOOD this morning...same AMPS as Gracie.

Re: Atlas Amps 155, +3 140 (Gary :( test results)

So sorry to hear about Gary being FIV postive.
I once brought in a cat that was FIV positive and was told as long as he doesnt attack and bite my other cats deeply, he can co-exist with them.

I kept him seperated while I was at work, but while we were home, we let him roam the house.
Unfortunately, he tried to go after my other cats, so I had to have him placed with other people who had only FIV positive cats at the time.

Re: Atlas Amps 155, +3 140 (Gary :( test results)

Two Garys? omg... I am sorry about the FIV being positive. I don't know too much about this, but did have a kitty that also was FIV positive, but his was considered in "remission" - not active - his had not kicked in too where he was ill. He apparently had it for years (he was 19 when he passed to the bridge of old age). Perhaps it is the same for Gary? I hope that you will be able to get him back to better health, that the ABs will help him.

And such better amps for Attie - YAY! nice to see! :-D

Well, I am suspecting the Foster Gary is the one I've been seeing on a regular basis.

The other gray cat is most likely the original one. The one that disappeared last spring. Shame, cause he is probably in the same or similar shape as Foster Gary and unless we trap him...well...and I suspect if Foster Gary was trap shy...so is the other one.

I love where I live most times. But, a dead end street with a park system is just a dumping ground too. It is so very difficult to be willfully blind.

I talked to my foster director and the Berea Animal Warden...It helps everyone in our small college town knows about Atlas! All I had to say is I have Atlas a diabetic cat and the warden knew exactly what the problem was. The Animal Warden says if I don't here back from the foster director by the end of the week, she'll stop by and get Gary in to the shelter. The foster director had me write up the email with the medical notes and pics. So, I think things will move along just fine. As I told the foster director Gary can stay here as a foster, but can't mingle with Atlas or MudCat. An inadvertent bite to Atlas would just be too risky IMHO.

Yes, Attie is looking very good today! :-D

FIV is a retrovirus and is lifelong. It is basically kitty AIDs. Most FIV cats live shortened lifespans, but often they will be happy and healthy most of those years. The vet we say yesterday was not so gracious about the disease, but like all our run-ins with vets there seems to always be room for improvement on knowledge.

 MudCat and Gary are chatting through the door right now....LOL.... You know that friendly chortled chitter chatter they can do.

Re: Atlas Amps 155, +3 140 (Gary :( test results)

So sorry that Gary II's (?!? Wow!!) diagnosis came back positive. :( Poor Mudcat will miss her suitor, but it is good that you are working to find him a suitable home and are ensuring the safety of your kitties as well. Hopefully, he will find a good home very soon!

Re: Atlas Amps 155, +3 140, +5 115, +8 132

Attie continues to have a stellar day!!! :-D

All things will work out, one just never quite knows how, but it always does ....amazingly.

That is what I am thinking, if we can get a successful introduction then things just might be fine. Of course we need to get him through this bought of feline pneumonia and roundworms first before any kind of introductions can begin. Plus the neutering.

Yes, one thing at a time.

But please remember, he will need to be watched carefully that he does not attack the others.
