Hello all! Here to check in and wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday and year ahead!

We have been crazy busy here with work (good thing) and on the opposite end of the spectrum, both cats got some sort of bug/virus we think

Asher came down with it first. We came home to runny poo in the box one night after work. Next morning we knew who made it since Asher didn’t want to eat much breakfast.
He is always a piggy/hoover kitty and if he doesn’t want to eat a lot, something is up. I fed gravy food since he wasn’t eating much, and left some out throughout the day (Alby won’t eat it) and this didn’t seems to effect his BG numbers until he was on the mend really. He got thru the bug fairly quickly but then Alby got it. And he is more sensitive and a baby about being sick, so he took longer. He got nauseas with it too and spit up a few times. We had a vetty appt today but canceled it since everyone is eating now and seems to be thru it and playing and being naughty. (a sure sign these guys feel good) All that being said, both cats groomed, purred, and did not hide, even while sick. Just the runs, and Alby thru up some spit a few times.

I never had cats get a virus before so we don’t know for sure, but it just seemed to be the case. Does anyone out there know anything over the counter that you can safely give cats for nausea? Alby gets nauseas when we change cases of food sometimes too (we have fed the same food for 2 years, but he knows when we open a new case), but usually gets thru it when he gets hungry enough.

The best to you all out there! Happy Holidays!

The only over the counter remedy I'm familiar with is Pepsid AC. However, it's more for acid stomach than an actual med for nausea or vomiting. You can give 1/4 of a 10 mg tablet twice a day.

Hi guys, nice to see a condo update! Sorry to hear your babies are not feeling well .. I hope the meds make a difference! have a great day!
