Anyone use Hypericum (St John's Wort) for declaw pain?

Animal Communicator Dawn Allen suggested I try this for Cami who was declawed at the age of 11 and is having paw pain. I have no idea what dose or how often to give it and can't seem to find anything online other that that it is used for this.

In humans, it may be used to treat depression. Note that in chronic pain, antidepressants have been helpful for many, so perhaps that is the basis of her suggestion. I would suggest consultioning with a vet who uses alternative medicine.
