I'm having a hard time finding a vet who isnt against home testing or trying to push dry food on me... I'm hoping someone knows a vet in Lower Westchester County or the Bronx that I can have confidence in? Thanks!!!

I'm a "friend" of Manhattan Cat Specialists on facebook and I have read a lot of Dr. Plotnicks articles on various health topics. Do you know if they are a good vet clinic? Dr. Plotnik is pretty famous but I wondered if they are really all that good or it is just marketing.
Good luck finding a vet - it is not an easy task.

Thanks Lydia...I never heard of him but I will absolutely check him out... I'm getting so discouraged.. none of these vets seem to know anything about diabetes....ughhhhghh

Hi Tara,
Did you check out the link I sent you when you first joined the Lantus forum? I can highly recommend the Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center in Bedford Hills. Here is the link again (see below). They are extremely kind and professional and cared for my GA kitty, Stu, in an emergency situation when we were far from home. I was most impressed with their skill and their commitment. They are located down the road from Hypurrcat, Dr. Mark Peterson's facility for treating Hyperthyroidism in cats with the I-131 treatment. Dr. Peterson, who is also a pioneer in Feline Diabetes, has a vet practice in Manhattan as well as the facility in Bedford Hills. He may still take patients with "only" diabetes. Anyway, I am including a link to Hypurrcat and Dr. Peterson.

Sasha. I know this was posted a while ago. Did u have any luck with a vet? I'm in yonkers looking for a better vet then I have.
