i'm just gathering info if folks didnt do well on lantus and switched to pz with better results?

We've had difficulty on lantus getting regulated, and sometimes i wonder if this insulin just isnt the best option for my cat.

Thanks

When you are managing multiple conditions which have an effect on the glucose level (pancreatitis, hepatitis, IBD, etc), you may need an advanced management system which lets you keep a constant, safe basal level of Lantus, and then an as needed, tiny (as in 0.25 or less, to start, with curving) bolus of shorter acting insulin. Please post over in the Lantus forum to ask about that, because you must be extremely careful not to overlap the nadir periods of the 2 insulins and it requires more testing due to the complexity of dosing. I did this with Spitzer using R, then NPH, to knock down highs when they happened.
