Can't get a hold of the vet so I have a question...
my 4year old fixed male former feral has had a very serious URI virus infection. Non of the other cats have it.
He spent days in the hospital was getting better and then reverted and now is showing improvement.
He started on Orbax. Upon leaving the hospital he was switched to Azithromycin 50 mg first every 24, then every 48 (given last night) and now ready to go to every 72 hours. It was three days ago when he started to go backwards and getting worse..he seems to be improving with eye drops in nose, constant nose maintenance and Chlorotrimeton/Cerenia mixed.
The question is....do I wait the 72 hours for the next dose of Azithromycin or put him back on Orbax 1 ml per day for ten days? He is still pretty congested, but he started back eating and drinking a little.
