Anybody skip happy, cute recovery and choose hellion violence? 😂

Mild hyperbole and a whole lot of humor here, I promise, but after what I now realize was kind of a long time of Norm feeling crappy, with his numbers under much better control...

he wakes up and chooses violence.

His housemate Lou is a big, fat puddin' kitty (we're working on that) half his age and almost twice his weight. And part siamese. I hear that part wail PITEOUSLY when Norm wakes from some other part of the house, shuffles his arthritic little self over to the spot Lou is currently occupying (there are, of course, only a handful of Perfect Spots in the house) and picks a fight the way only a grizzled little street veteran can. (Lou is also a rescue but was less than a year old and is kinda "ten-ply"*)

Still no great excitement about playing, though I can't say Norm was ever 'about' that frivolous-play kinda life, but man. Now, the little man knows what he wants and takes it.
(no worries about hurt feelings, Lou ends up coming back and cuddling Norm anyway, and Norm is fine with this because his little butt is planted in The Perfect Spot)

Anyone else observe this sort of phenomenon?
*"ten-ply" = "as soft as it gets😂"
