I said this to Nicole in a PM. I think we're all grateful that there are people like Nicole who are willing to lend a new member a hand. It's very generous and I'm sure a heartfelt gesture.

In case others have not noticed, there are occasions when spam messages are posted to the Board. Spammers clearly are around and may look for e-mail or other private contact information. It's best to share information of that nature in a PM so YOU are the person making the decision about who has your e-mail address or phone numbers, etc.

prayers for Tashia & Rembrandt, I went this morning to show her how to test & he was 22!! We got his carrier & took him to vet with Sunday hours, very scary & just in time.
After Karo on his gums he was still only 26 at vets. 2nd Hypo in 4 days. I strongly encouraged Tashia to come to this board & to start low & go slow with his insulin. I let her know how wonderful everyone is here & hopefully we see her come soon & get answers & assistance. Unfortunately I could not teach her much after seeing the 22 we were in Emergency mode. He is still at vets & at 1:30pm vet will make a decision if he can come home or have to be hospitalized.
 
OMG...Nicole seriously? So how long was this after the last shot. A link to this post needs to be provided to anyone who is NOT hometesting or doesn't understand the importance. You are the perfect person to help someone with hypos and low numbers. You had inauguration by fire as i recall. Awesome sauce you were there to help...it was meant to be. Anxious to hear what happens.

Betty, I tested him at +3

Thankfully he is back home, no insulin tonight & vet dropped dose to 1 unit (was on 5).
I have encouraged her to think about only giving .5 & switching to Lantus - have given her the link to Lantus Land & just pray that she gets over here.

2nd hypo in 4 days & I am scared for him nailbite_smile
 
Nice work, Nicole! You saved Rembrandt's life today... @-) I've been following the story all day on Facebook. I gave Tashia my number last night, just in case of emergency. I am in Kendall (just north of homestead) in Miami, so I am close enough that I could come up if you are unavailable. Let's hope she finds a better vet (I can recommend someone down here, but I know that's a hike.) I do hope she will get on Lantus and find her way over to the board.
