I'd love a little hands-on help if anyone is close to here. I checked the member list and from that it looks like the closest is up near Portland, nearly a couple of hours away.
 
I know Emmy & Dude are in Coos Bay which still looks to be a ways away but maybe see if she knows if anyone is between you two?
 
i'm just having a lot of trouble getting blood to test - sometimes i poke him 6 times and by then he's one mad kitty. i'm still working on it, but i thought if someone could just show me on him, that would help.

I thought I knew someone somewhat nearby who could help, but it didn't work out.

However, I see that you are now testing like a pro.
 
i think i've got it finally, thank you! i'd seen that there were a couple of members in the Portland area, but wasn't keen on taking the Howler in the car to get the help. Sometimes I still don't get blood, but mostly we're doing ok.

I only just now saw this post. I live in Corvallis, with Imo (my diabetic kitty). I'm actually getting ready to do my first BG test today, and going to attempt the curve tomorrow, so I wouldn't have been much help anyway! But, it's great to know that we are both in the same city; let me know if you need anything in the future (and maybe I'll be in touch if I have trouble figuring out how to do it with Imo!!)

oh, man...you guys are making me miss my old stomping grounds!!
i went to OSU, and was in Portland for 5 yrs after that...

wish we were closer...
