Since I'm learning all this for cats....

I might as well work on the dogs too before they have problems from too many carbs. I am already doing grain free type foods but it's dry food.
I can't imagine that this isn't a similar type problem. @-)
 
Kim (kse) has a diabetic dog, Sally. I'm not sure what forum she's on but you might drop her a pm and ask....

I've checked 2 of my dogs over the last year that were also drinking the water dry and peeing gallons...luckily neither of their problems were diabetes.

I also changed my big dogs that eat dry to mostly grain free. I'm convinced that grain free food helped me have another 2 months with my HarleyDrooler that crossed from lymphoma June 19th. He actually got healthier looking after the change altho' the cancer couldn't be stopped.
