Another Cosequin Question

Thai is getting awful stiff lately and limping quite a bit - vet suspected arthritis at our last visit. Anyone have experience with Cosequin? Any good? Is it safe to give to a diabetic who is in remission?

UPDATE:
So Thai has been on Cosequin for a little over a week and i'm not seeing any changes yet. Her appetite however, has increased in an insane way. She would easily eat 3 cans of FF if I allowed it - this is the same cat who was barely eating 1/2 a can a day a few weeks back.

Questions:
1. Is this a coincidence? Have y'all seen appetite increases with Cosequin? Seems like a long shot...
2. How long were your kitties on it until you saw an improvement in their stiffness/limping?
3. How many capsules do you give your kitties at their weight? The instructions say 1 pill for up to 10lbs and 2 pills for over 10lbs... She weighs 10.5lbs so i started with 1 and have upped it to 2...

I have been using it with my MurrFee for about two years. It does help, al most too much. Before I started he could not jump on the counter but now he can

Hi Katie,

Quite a few folks here have used Cosequin, including some who have OTJ kitties. Some cats seem to respond well to it (though it must be noted that some have seen no improvement). I don't recall anyone saying that it raised blood glucose numbers. And in fact, if a kitty is experiencing pain/discomfort from arthritis it might even help the numbers?

I've given Cosequin to one of my civvies and, as with Larry's cat, definitely saw improvement following that. (The cat had become unable to jump on the bed, but could do that again after being on Cosequin). And I've just started another of my cats on it. I also give a couple of drops of krill oil every day.

Keeping fingers and paws crossed that Thaiger feels better soon.

It took MurrFee a month or two to see any improvement.
I have not seen an change in appetite.
MurrFee weight about 11 pounds and I give him one capsule PM
