Hi All!

It’s been 13 months since Zyler’s diagnosis and 9 months in remission.

What does everyone recommend for annual vet visits? I have been checking his blood sugar 1x a month at home and so far so good, any other recommended bloodwork, fructosomine, etc?

He would be due for his vaccines in March, are there adverse reactions to vaccines that might kick him out of remission?

I’ve been noticing he has some little bumps, mainly on the back of his neck, they look like pinpoint scabs. At first I thought maybe his nails were a little too long, then I thought maybe it was a food allergy since I tried giving him a couple other protein sources but can’t seem to figure it out. They don’t bother him, he isn’t scratching at them. But that’s what’s driving the potential vet visit.

Thanks all!

I typically get a full senior panel (also called geri panel but make sure it includes a T4) and urinalysis. Fructosamine not needed at this point. I stopped getting vaccines for Neko once she was a diabetic, so I can't help there.

Good luck with the vet visit.
