Sienne (Sienne and Gabby) was kind enough to post the reminder (below) in the Lantus TR forum earlier this week, and I will repeat it here for those of you who do not regularly read the Lantus board. If all of us who are currently benefiting from Dr. Rand’s research into feline diabetes would donate just $10 to help her get the continuous blood glucose monitors she needs, that would help her to continue this important research. The continuous glucose monitors will help Dr. Rand better understand the effects of insulin on cats and dogs in real time, and could result in improved outcomes for our own cats and those that come after.

If you tend to be like me, I often overlook the Announcements section at the top of the Board. Too often, the information that's there doesn't change so I forget to look.

Rebecca just posted a request from Jacqui Rand, DVM for donations to fund further research at University of Queensland in diabetic cats and dogs. Jacqui Rand and Kirsten Roomp collaborated in a study using the Tight Regulation Protocol developed by Kirsten and members of the German Diabetes-Katzen Forum. The study has since been published in the Journal of Feline Medicine.

Here's the link to Dr. Rand's request: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=78284#p845756
