I'm devastated to say that Angus passed away this past week. He went into a dka and although we managed to get him out with 4 days at the er vet, we couldn't get his sugars regulated on the long acting insulin(it had been a problem for the last month or so and we were working on trying to fix it) and he went back into it a day later.
We believe he had something internal happening as well, but to find out he would have had to live at the er vet until it could be fixed and he was already very ill. So we made the decision to help him go before he got very very ill from the dka again.
I would like to thank everyone on here, you gave me support when he was first diagnosed almost a year ago and helped me not to panic as much as I was. I wish he could have stayed longer.

It is so hard to say goodbye to our beloved kitties. You looked after him so well and it is devastating when something goes very wrong.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is never easy to say goodbye to our pets. Angus knows how much you love him and did all that you could to help him.
